Master of Science in Computer Application M.Sc. (Computer Applications)

It is a PG program in computer application. It is a two-year professional course designed to meet the growing demand in the software industry which combines both practical and theoretical knowledge in which candidates get a deep understanding of software development, programming languages, database management, and computer networks etc.

Master of Science in Computer Applications course includes core, foundation, and elective courses. The topics related to computer science and its applications are covered. The students learn about Discrete Mathematics for Computer Application, Data Structures and Algorithms, Programming with C/C++, Python, Full Stack, Django Web Framework, Data Mining, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Block Chain, Cryptography and Networks Security, Green Computing, Software Engineering, Web Technologies, Cloud Computing, etc.

The M.Sc. in Computer Applications syllabus includes Research Methodology, Research paper and Research project in 1st,3rd & 4th Semesters. The purpose is, students explore and participate in research-work and to produce new knowledge, in a new form. Simply finding innovative solutions for sustainable living.

Another Major highlight of the syllabus is compulsory internship. The students enrolled for M.Sc. (CA) must undergo internship in even semesters. It is an invaluable chance for students to network and build crucial professional connections before they even graduate.

 The admission process is two ways: through the online form submission and direct admission. The seats are allotted based on their ranks, preferences, and availability of seats.

M.Sc. (CA) Course Eligibility

Any graduate student with backgrounds in a range of disciplines including: 

  • Business and Management (BCA, BBA and equivalent)
  • Computer Science/IT (BCS, BSc-Computer/IT/Electronics/Bio Technology)
  • Mathematics (BSc-Mathematics, BA- Mathematics)
  • A minimum of 50% of marks are required in a UG Degree.
  • Candidates must have completed 10+2 i.e. senior secondary Education with science as a major.

Course Duration

The course is for two years with a total of 4 semesters. The program combines both practical and theoretical subjects. Semester Examinations consist of Internal, External and Practical.
