RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT (R&D)
 
Dr.Sumita Sarkar has joined IBSAR as Dean Research. Dr.Sarkar is an alumni of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and Sir Ratan Tata Post doctoral Fellow from Asia Research Center,London School of Economics (LSE).She has a total of 11 years experience in action research,prxaxis and pedagogy.Her specialized areas of research are gender and labour,development and social policy,Human resource Management,Youth Culture and Anomie and Society,Culture and Change.She has wide international and national research exposure with reference to her publication and paper presentation and lectures at esteemed universities and conferences in UK,Australia and South Africa.Dr.Sarkar is also an active member of ELDIS research,Sheifield,UK,Gender Research Action Group,F-agenda,Australia and Open space Action Research Forum.

Present undertaking research :
Closure of Tea Garden and Displaced Livelihood. A Study of Women Plantations Workers in Darjeeling District,Funded by ICSSR,New Delhi.

Upcoming Research :
Women In Coal Mines and the Emerging Issues of Work Environment. A Case of Jharkhand Small Mines.

Consultancy :
IBSAR has experienced and skilled in-house faculty resource to take up consultancy and research with corporate,government and non-government organization (NGOs) and with affiliation of premier institutuion within and outside of the country in all specialized areas of management and management related issues.

Higher Education :
IBSAR is also shortly launching M.Phil and Ph.D programme inviting scholars interested in perusing their career in higher education and research in the field of management.
